Since being married and then having three kids, I just thought I would surrender to those things in life that I frowned upon during my youth. Since the onslaught of weight gain and the reality of a cubicle career I decided to just give in. I can't believe that I HAD to convince my wife to get the van! The realization that I have become out of touch with the world is shown in my music taste, for example, I still like Erasure when my friends have moved on to bands such as Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah (good band) and Death Cab for Cutie (great band). Still, I will always have a place in my bosom for the Smiths, New Order and OMD.
But change is part of life. My wife thinks its cute how I just love to romanticize my youth, which in reality is not that long ago since I'm on 32. I guess this onslaught of golden memories came to me due to my current visits to the doctor. After high cholesterol, ulcer and being allergic to everything under God's yellow sun I decided to give in and start blogging. Admittedly, I have always thought these kind of things are, well, lame. I understand that this makes me out to sound like some kind of a snob but I'm converted.
